This Privacy Policy applies to our privacy practices for the handling of data submitted in connection with your immigration matters. We will collect and use your personal information and may transfer or disclose such information as set out in this Privacy Policy, as may be required during our assessment and/or representation of you in your immigration matters. The personally identifiable information about you that we acquire will be imported and retained. This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal data we collect, how we may use or process that information and with whom we can share it; it also describes the measures we take to protect the security of your personal data.

This Privacy Policy relates to the information that is personally identifiable that we have been provided by you, or someone else on your behalf, in connection with your immigration matters.
Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Data submitted to Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. via Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc.’s online submission processes, email, or paper. The electronic database is in the United States and is accessible by Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. authorized personnel and third-party providers.
Reference to “processing” or “processes” means any activity which involves the use of Data, whether in whole or in part by automated means or otherwise, such as collecting, recording, organizing, storing, modifying, using, disclosing, or deleting such Data.
This Privacy Policy does not cover Data that has been made anonymous.

Prior education and training details;
Compensation and benefit information history (possibly including copies of pay stubs);
Compensation and benefit payment details;
Contact information including home address, home and cell phone numbers and email;
Previous addresses or names;
Gender;
Immigration-related information (e.g., birth country, citizenship; passport number; visa status; criminal history; present and past membership in or affiliation with any organization, association, fund, foundation, party, club, society or similar group in the U.S. or abroad since sixteenth birthday);
Immediate family information including relationship, contact information, work history, birth information, criminal history, and immigration information as listed above;
Travel schedules;
Social Security or National ID Number;
Summaries of meetings, correspondence, actions, and progress relating to immigration; and
Bank account details.
Special Categories of Data
Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. recognizes that certain jurisdictions have enacted laws which require higher protection of certain sensitive personally identifiable information, such as state or national ID numbers, or other information regarding racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or political beliefs, trade-union membership, health or medical records, or criminal records (“Special Data”). By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you explicitly consent and opt-in to your Special Data being processed for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy to receive immigration services.
Children’s Data: Additional consent from a parent or guardian is required to collect personal data for children under the age of 18. This data is only collected if required for immigration purposes.
Security and Confidentiality
Equipment and Information Security
To safeguard against unauthorized access to Data by third-parties outside Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc., all electronic Data held by Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. is maintained on systems protected by secure network architectures that contain firewalls and intrusion detection devices. The servers holding Data are “backed up” (i.e., recorded on separate media) on a regular basis in an effort to avoid any inadvertent erasure or destruction of Data. The servers are stored in facilities with appropriate security and fire detection and response systems.
Access Security
Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. limits access to the internal systems that hold Data to a select group of authorized users, each of whom is given access through the use of a unique identifier and password. Access to Data is limited to such individuals for the sole purpose of performing their job duties (for example: an attorney and legal assistant).
Sharing of Data with Government Agencies
Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. will share the information you provide with government agencies as necessary to provide immigration services on your behalf.
Sharing of Data with Third Parties & Liability
Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. may also share Data with third-party service providers to perform services on your behalf in the U.S. and abroad. Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. requires its third-party servicers to agree to comply with appropriate privacy and security standards or to undertake to provide similar and appropriate levels of protection as Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. when processing Data.
If a third party providing services on Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc.’s behalf processes personal data in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. will be liable, unless we can prove that we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage
Transfer, Storage, and Retention
Most Data will be held in the United States and stored on servers located in the United States. Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. will maintain Data only for so long as it determines in its sole discretion to be required for business purposes or as required by law. In any case, Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. destroys records seven years after the last action taken.
Security
Pathway for Immigrant Workers, Inc. takes state of the art precautions to protect Personal Data covered by this Policy from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
